Vande, go to Sportsman's Guide site, search for "Guide Gear Men's Merino Wool Blend Crew Socks, 3 Pairs"....  $14.99 for the lot and they get good reviews.  RJ

i will check out sportsman guide socks for sure. I have been looking at the darn tough and cheapest I can find them is in low $20's each but I will keep looking.

With early season socks like these, do you guys wear liners under them too?

If they’re back in stock for the coming season, try out the wool socks at Costco.. I think they’re in the neighborhood of $10/3 or 4 pack. I’ve been using them for the past 3-4 years year round. Haven’t worn out a pair yet.

I’ve used a fair number of the other high end brands and the Costco socks are just as good for the money.

Are they good for warm weather? I will be in back country for 10 days early september so most likely warm and sweaty

If there is a high percentage of merino in the sock, I wouldn't bother with liners. I haven't worn liners in a long time...

I never wear liner socks and I wear the same socks year round if I’m backpacking. Call me crazy. Liners work for some people and not for others. Honestly you’re going to need 2 pairs. They’re part of the most important pieces of gear you own in the mountains... your feet. Don’t skimp. It’s not like you’re buying a dozen pairs.

:yeah: darn toughs for me year round. Late season I may add a liner sock for a bit of extra warmth but otherwise same socks year round. I do switch to the over the calf for Oct on though. Love those things😍

Agreed. I plan to bring a couple pairs so I can rotate through them and hopefully keep me feet fresh. As for liners, I tried them last year and I was indifferent on them.

bought 2 pairs of darn toughs back in 2016 and one of them finally sprung a hole in them.  I know they will replace them but they were so good to me I'd feel little guilty taking advantage of their warranty.

Cotton socks from Walmart for 10 bucks for a dozen pair.  If it's warm, one pair.  If it's cold, maybe 3 pair.  Lol, I'm a cheapo.  :yike:

Costco Kirkland women’s fine merino wool hiking socks. I’m a 11 1/2 fit fine

Love them and some pretty fantastic colors 🌈🌈🌈. If not secure in your manhood can buy neutral colors

20 bucks for 4 pair . Great warm weather durable hiking sock or can wear with fav pair of skinny jeans

Don’t judge me😉
