Hunting Campbell Global
« on: June 18, 2019, 09:25:06 AM »
Heading into my second season here in Washington and decided to go ahead and give Campbell Global a try. Anyone else hunting that area and maybe looking for a partner? I plan to start going out into the area and looking around, maybe find some old sign from last year. Just getting a feel for the area. I have multi season for deer and modern firearms for elk on the west side. Even though I have purchased a permit for Campbell Global, I'm not 100% tied to hunting there. Thanks, Dave
It's only trouble if you get caught. Otherwise it is an adventure.

Hey Dave,

I'm interested. I live in that area.  I'll send you a PM.

My husband decided to go for it this year and bought the permit. We just started scouting behind the gates this last weekend. The higher you get, the worse the deer flies seem to get and they are MASSIVE. They literally swarmed the truck as if we had run over a bees nest. Crazy! Needless to say, we didn't spend much time hiking off the road. We did see plenty of fresh bear sign, but not much else was visible from the road. Would love more info if you guys are willing to share any! We will be going for elk this fall - archery season. (I just tag along to take photos and enjoy the adventure - husband does the hunting) We generally hunt the east side but thought we'd try for something closer to home this year due to busy schedules.

Thanks!
-Michelle
