Remember, in line 209 shotgun style primers are now legal here. Don’t let him fall into the trap of getting an old model. Heck, the new ones aren’t that expensive  ;). Have him get one of these and call it a day.

I am the owner of the ML Knight Disc Extreme mentioned above. Only owner and has been fired maybe 35 times. Like new condition. Would take $400 firm.

Can you use 209's in the knight bighorn extreme?

The Bighorn and the DISC Extreme are two different rifle.  Both can use 209 primer.  The Bighorn is only available with a FPJ breech plug (Full Plastic Jacket) and in the DISC you can use either the FPJ or NFPJ (Non Full Plastic Jacket) more applicably named the 'Bare Primer" breech Plug.

The Bighorn is an open breech plunger rifle. The DISC Extreme is a bolt gun.

Hope this helps some.
