I use RL26, 180 gr berger
Pshaw...just gotta order 8 lb'ers! If you are anywhere local I'd seing you a qtr lb to try.
RL26 is impossible to find so I'd scratch that one. 4350 works good. If I was shooting a 7 rem right now I'd be running h1000 or retumboI'd be running 168-180 bergers or 180 eldm's though
I shot probably 1500 rounds of 140s through my 7 with IMR4350. They were screaming out at like 3250. Lately been shooting retumbo and 162 eld x but accuracy hasn’t been great. I’d say powder choice depends on bullet weight.

Would you be willing to share how much powder you were using to get 3250? The Berger manual I have shows 3078 at 62 grains.

I had 100 pieces of brass and when I finally threw it all away I could count 12+ plunger marks on the head... oh to be young and no know what I was doing again.

So you're saying that's not how you keep track of the number of firings on your brass?!?!?! Ooops
IMR 7828 good for 160's IMR 4831 good for 150's IMR 4350 good for 140's In my Tikka Superlite
H1000-160 grain bullet4831 works well also kinda old school.H1000 -160 grain bullet- 70 grains of powder4831-160 grain bullet - 65 grains of powderLoads are over max , But puts you right at 3000 fps Just a question why are you useing a 140 grain bullet.I tried lighter bullets didn't have good results and went back to 160.depends on your twist.how fast your gonna push a 140, you May have good luck with 140 Most 7mm mag do well with a 160 grain or higher a lot of people use 140 in 7/08 and such.
I am running IMR 4831 with 160 accubonds. Took the recipe right out of the Nosler manual. Great accuracy. I haven't hunt with the load yet.
