I just got a 2015 Tacoma with 28K on it. Auto transmission. It had a vibration or pulsing starting at 30 mph at 1100 rpm which continued up to 50 mph or so. I took it into Toyota where it was originally purchased. After test drives with tech they eventually checked tranny fluid and it was a quart low. No dipstick in these vehicles. It now is driving much smoother. Assuming the low transmission fluid was the problem, it is likely that it suffered damage being a quart low? Anyone have any thoughts on this? My conclusion is that I’ll never really know if extra wear happened but low fluid couldn’t be a good thing.
