Poor little guy
« on: July 14, 2019, 01:17:59 PM »
I'm assuming a boar got ahold of this little guy....had some big bite marks on it's back and was still warm, I must have spooked him off. It was right next to the road too, what are the chances, first dead bear I've found in the woods. Little was was maybe 10lbs

Too bad we cant legally salvage stuff like that in this state, it would be cool for a lifesize sow w/ cub taxidermy thing.

Looks like roadkill to me :chuckle:, I'd call it in for legal salvage and make a throw rug for my bathroom!  :yike:

Obviously I was joking and using something called sarcasm.  Some of you guys are way to uptight and need to laugh a little more. Sorry if anyone else took my comment as anything more than a joke.

Yeah, I'm guessing that you could make some great tacos by putting his rear quarter in a dutch oven for a few hours.

That's gotta be a pretty rare find.

I dunno I found the lopped off paws of a tiny baby bear on the side of the road in the Capitol forest. :dunno: also found bait barrels, and illegal garbage bag baits. Those logging roads were ripe with illegal activity 10 years ago.

Am I missing something?  You guys want a tiny bear rug?  Go dump your tag on a cub.  Theres nothing in the regs for size requirements haha.  Be a little messed up tho.  I suppose you could look at it as more elk calves

I wouldnt actually do it, but ive thought about how it would make cool taxidermy.  Shoot a sow and a cub one year, following year two cubs (good luck retrieving them with mama bear around) and making an awesome lifesize display with the 4 bears.  Imagine the outcry that would ensue if you posted pics on social media.  so many people would freak out, there would likely be death threats, and then laws would go into place about shooting cubs and sows with cubs.  it would probably be something best kept off the internet if one decided to do that.  but really, if you had the space, and the funds, you could make something really cool with a sow and a few cubs..  especially if you added a couple wolves to the deal.

A lot of people seem to think its a contest of who can pretend to be offended and hurt by the tiniest things, act like theyre being attacked, grave injustices are being done to them (oh you poor little guy  :'( ) in order to get sympathy and attention.  i think they see too many people on major social media getting attention by going for the gold in the oppression olympics, and theyre trying to get in on the act too.

I've got a scraggly little guy that found my buck block and keeps coming back.  Didn't intend it for a starving cub.  Still got a bit of the umbilical cord hanging.  Not sure if his Ma got taken during spring season.  Might save a fawn if the wolves find him.   :dunno:

I would spend the extra money and put a second tag on that little guy just so he wasn't a complete waste. Have him taxidermied next to another like was said
