2018 harvests- Hunter shot a great boar (rug) and accidentally left some equipment at the harvest site. Went back several days later to retrieve the left items and had acquired his second tag before going back out. Ended up seeing a very old dry sow near the kill site and filled his second tag on her. He like the look of several of the packboard mounts in the shop and wanted to do the same with her, which was perfect as her hide was not the greatest due to her age; she was missing nearly all her front teeth (her skull is the one on the left on the rug).
Thank you to the owner for the work and best of luck to all you bruin hunters this year!!!

Great work, man! Love the details in the sow's eyes, can really see her age.

Thank you, probably one of the oldest bears I’ve ever worked on!! Can’t wait for the client to get the bio report on her for an age

So cool. I recently started doing some hobby taxidermy. i did a full mount of a rabbit. Super difficult with the thin skin. I am in the process of a tanning a skunk. I think i am struggling with fleshing the most.

I have so much respect for the work that taxidermists do, now that i have learned what goes into it.
