For most of your boat accessories, rods, tackle, do you stay in WA or cross into Portland/Astoria? Who seems to have the best prices?

May as well buy out of Oregon if its convenient. Save on the sales tax. I use Sportco, West Marine and Fisheries Supply.

you pull the trigger?
really depends on what im after...for most of my fishing related stuff, i stay local (outdoor emporium, johns sporting goods, etc) i find that local shops like that will carry stuff for local fisheries.
if you're close to oregon, id run down that way for fishing gear just to save the tax.  in portland, fishermans marine seems to have good deals a lot.
as for boat related things..online mostly as you'll get the best prices and wider selection with regards to parts/maintenance etc.

Either a local shop like Bobs or Verles or the internet.  I try to avoid the larger stores.

For boating gear I use Camano Marine  He can get me almost anything within a day and he runs a very honest business.

For fishing gear that is tough, but usually Holiday Sports has what I want.
