209 conversion knight bighorn
« on: July 29, 2019, 02:41:14 PM »
So I put the conversion on my dads muzzy. Was at the range last night for the first go round with it. Really liking the consistency and click-boom set up. The problem I am having though, is getting the red cap holders you slide over your nipple off. I have to take a knife and pry it out. Not very efficient for a fast reload and follow up shot. Any experienced guys have any insight as to how to pop those out faster?

Knight has an install/removal tool.  Looks sort of "S" shape

EDIT TO ADD:

I have not used this.  I do have a conversion, but never installed it (yet).  The "older" bighorns came with 3 extra breach plugs (209 style)

The Knight tool works OK or carry a pair of needle-nose pliers
