The fruit stand hole on the Puyallup was on fire today tons of pinks caught and a few kings mixed in as well.  My brother got a nice 14lb king and a pink and I got 2 pinks.  Between the both of us we probably hooked 40-50 fish.  Everyone up and down the river were hooking up/catching fish.
We fish up river from there, it was the same up where we were to. Lots of pinks, a few coho, and some Kings, all of which we lost.

Limits easy. Spent last 3 days and yesterday running rivers with the sleds. Launched the nisqually flats and shot up to the nisqually hatchery. Lots of rollers, very few hookups but the kings are for sure in there. Puyallup - obviously a  zoo. Waters really low so lots of fishing holding at the mouth. 5th street was trash 0/4 for hookups. Old river road was the producer. 2 hours went 8/12 on pinks lost 1 king about 8-10lbs. Basically thats it.
Outside the mouth of nisq fish are holding mostly 8ft. Schooling no deeper than 25 in 75-100ft.

Got my first Pink Salmon ever yesterday. We were part of a Greenriver class.

It put quite a fight. We were fly fishing pink flies (of course) and stripping it in.

FYI... That's a Hunt-WA hat :)

Very cool.  I'll type up more later but what a day. Went 13 for at least 35. Couldn't keep the 2nd of the last double so ended up with 12 and 7 crab as a bonus. My hot lure was al all white coyote killer. Never fished deeper than 35, trolling east to west back and forth working south between muk and just past shipwreck.

Area 11 is loaded with them, can't keep them off the lines. I've been targeting kings and silvers the last couple days and been hooking a lot of pinks.

Yesterday we released 3 "wild" kings 12-18lbs, got 4 silvers to the boat but lost 2, and released 6 pinks while also losing a few at the boat.

If you are targeting pinks, Redondo to Browns Point is loaded right now.
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

So I'm thinking we are likely at peak humpy migration in area 8-2, 9, abd 10. Thoughts? One more weekend?

Pretty easy limits at the shipwreck Friday and Saturday mornings.  That, of course, after wading through the wild silvers.  We released 9 between the 2 days  I have NEVER caught anywhere close to that while targeting pinks only.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Since I haven’t had a chance to get out yet I’d say we might be past the peak.
