Alaska trip report

M dad, 2 of my brothers and I went to Craig on POW for 3 days of fishing, we brought home a bunch of fish and had the time of our lives up there.
Day one

Day 2

Day 3 we were tired and didnt lay out the catch for a picture

There are still a lot of kings around. We caught our 4 in about 1 hour. After that we fished shallow as all the coho were up high.
Not being able to keep a king and the max size limit on halibut so small the fishing packages are going to be hard for the charters to sell.

Outstanding!  I was in Whale Pass last week and had a great time. POW is an unbelievable playground.
The lazy do not roast any game, but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

I love POW, bear hunted their a few years back and I would love to go back on a fishing trip.

I've been up the twice in September, killed nice bears both times and caught a ton of coho in the rivers but this is the first time I've been up there fishing the salt. If It wasn't so expensive, I'd already be booked for next year.

We just got back from Sitka just before they shut down the Kings. The fishing is quite different as are the views. We went with Mike and his crew at https://www.seadventures.com/ Definitely check him out if you're in the area on a cruise or flying in!
