Pesticides
« on: August 01, 2019, 08:32:50 AM »
So was out looking around a few clear cuts and seen signs almost every cut I went too.
And no animals.
So if they don't want people in there ,how can it be good for animals.

The thistles, mullion, hounds tongue, knapweeds, and many other aggressive noxious weeds aren't good for the animals either.  Hopefully the benefits outweigh the cons.   :dunno:   Regulations require the posting.  A lot of the contact risk is reduced once the spray has set for 12 - 24 hours.
Economy failure = Too many people spending money they don't have on things they don't need to impress people they don't like.

Being that the animals have such a good sense of smell, ive often wondered if they naturally will stay out of these areas because they can smell the chemicals.

I've been burned by walking long distances into cuts only arrive and find those signs, and the cuts void of life. I do think the animals sense that stuff is bad news and stay away for a while.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.
