Mast taxis charge by the foot, they measure from nose to tail, I think most will be between $150-$200 per foot. Ask them if the hair/hide looks good?

an open mouth rug will cost you between $900-$1200 for that bear i would say.  I paid about $1000 for my last bear.

I had Meyers in battle ground smoke the hind quarters on this years Idaho spring bear. Turned out great. Tastes like ham! Ward’s will also smoke em.

Grind up into breakfast sausage is great too!

About 2
175-250 per ft depending on the taxidermist. My black bear that was 5.5 ft cost me like 1300.

Bear is good for anything. Except cooked to less then 165 degrees. If I had to say it’s best for something it would probably be sausage due to the fat. but really we love it cooked anyway. Bear ribs might be my personal favorite. Don’t forget to render the fat for cooking.
