First time calling black bears

I'm not convinced the sound is incredibly important, but needs to sound very needy and pleading.   When I'm doing it right I'll raise the hairs on my own neck mouth calling an begging for my life 


the wind is huge with bear, more than yotes even.  They can't even cut your own trail in or its done most of the time

also bears have exceptional hearing, I messed with one for 2 hours trying to get a shot so I was crunching a pine cone with my foot very gently to get him to move some, and man I was impressed how he could hear that so well at 40 yards in a good away breeze 

So ya, sneak in silent as a ghost and play the wind!

I thought you had to kill them with a stick you sharpened yourself with a rock that you find while in the field? I feel like I've been completely misinformed this whole time.
