Exactly how i want my next bear.  Young, tender and easy to pack out.  And hopefully a sow.  :cue:  cant get back out hunting until friday morning though, this sucks.  Once friday morning rolls around though, im going to stay out until i get it done.

Great shot, as always, Doug.

I just want to skin it and eat it!  maybe not a huge pile of meat, but sure looks like a delicious little pile of meat.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Beautiful animal!  That color is a bit mesmerizing, especially with the flowers in the frame.  Top class work, bone, as usual.

Thank you!

It was fun watching him eat. I wanted to get the tongue action and him throwing rocks going after those ants, but I didnt have a very good angle.   Fun listening to him.

cool looking bear....I've always thought I only wanted to shoot "black" bears but a living room full of jet blacks I now think a color phase chocolate/cinnamon would be a nice addition.  Been talking with Machias and will try to get over there in a month or so and get some pointers from him.  Looking to forward to post a pic of one of those Idaho beauties.
