Not opening day but I’ll be heading to Idaho in about 3 weeks or so. Have all day hospital appointments on the 12th then heading over on the 13th for 1-2 weeks looking for something that wants a ride in the big red truck!

11 more days! My buddy is willing to shoot a cow so hopefully will have an elk down opening weekend. Good elk numbers in my new stomping grounds this year.

I have a B tag so have to wait until October, but will be nice to play instead of work for once.

Backpack in the Eagle Caps starting 9/13. Hard to wait that long when the season opens tomorrow!

And "guiding" in western WA for the opener.  Have an eastern WA archery tag with no special permit, which won't get hunted.

If things go right, a week from today I should be just about riding into our camp. Its crunch time now to make sure the bow is dialed in and gear is all ready to go

Idaho Sept 6-14th and Montana in more of an assist role the 20th-25th. The best thing about elk season is that it means rifle deer season is getting closer

Good luck to ya.  I'll be in Idaho next month and then poking around here with a rifle.
