Seen a young bull Monday that was rubbed clean too.  :dunno:
A majority of the elk will be rubbing now if not done just this week.   Basically if I could draw a curve it went from almost 99% velvet Last Sunday, almost 90% rubbed by yesterday. 
The curve for deer isnt nearly as steep.   They are obviously starting now, but there will be many in velvet by september 1.

First elk I noticed was on the 9th, really picked up after the 14th, Friday night they really did a number on the trees!

That's good to see. I wonder if the high mountain mulies are doing it too? Seems every Sept 1 up there it's about 50/50.
