Skidmore American forestry management

American forestry management Skidmore: anyone have any information on that situation??? I bought the permit wondering what I'm getting into? I bought the Fossil Creek permit The Last 5 Years. Never seen a bull over to 270 during hunting season in that unit hoping Skidmore will hold some bigger ones. I'm sure both places do I'm just not a good enough Hunter to get into a bull over 270 on the west side during hunting season. Don't get me wrong the Fossil Creek permit is amazing. you get the hunt by yourself. A guy can go a whole day without seeing a single hunter that is not in your party. Just wondering what the foliage it's like what the topography xcetera is like? And if anyone can point me to a good drainage longitude latitude honey hole or whatever LOL will be much obliged. I would love to know if there is any type of camping situation that is safe to have a wall tent setup for 3 weeks without the meth heads getting into it and close to hunting area thank you

I don't think you're going to find it any better than fossil creek. Likely worse if you're looking for 270"+... Mostly 3-4 pts. Lots of elk though, fun hunting. Certainly not a trophy area though. Good luck!

Thank you...If u had to guess do you think I will see more less or the same amount of hunters during archery season compared to FC?
Do you have any idea where I should set up camp? (16'x24' wall tent + 4 riggs + one cooking tent)or can you please point me in the right direction to find a place to set up camp?as of now I'm thinking RV park @ $27 a day with power but I'm worried I'm going to have to drive too far every morning? What do u think? do you have any ideas? you are not allowed to camp on the Skidmore property and I'm a bit worried about the meth heads if I say up along HW 101. Any idea would be appreciative

I am new to hunting in WA. I was looking at the Skidmore permit today. It looks like they are sold out of the vehicle permits. The only things is walk-in. Does anybody have any thoughts on if the walk-ins are worth trying? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is a lot of ground behind those gates But you will have to cover alot of gravel to get into the main areas and they sold off a big portion of that ground last year so twice the guys half the ground ... And it gets hunted hard during modern ,,,
