Was the gate somewhere you could drive with a key?  Most of that unit is accessible to permit holders, right?

Have hope! I lost a pair of Bino's way up in the hills in 2013. Fell off my truck bed as I drove off. I made a post on HW and wouldn't you know it our very own @Woodchuck had found them and returned them to me. I hope you have a similar outcome.

It was a locked gate. State land. Not Weyhauser. But yes most of the unit is open to permit holders

Had the same thing happen to me quite a few years ago. I had left my fanny pack on the ground where I had to take care of business before I made the long hike to my tree stand back on some private property I had permission to hunt.  A few hours in I notice a guy, he walks by waves and i watch him walk across cornfield to a creek crossing where I had left my fanny pack, by accident.  Didn't realize I had left it there until I got in the tree stand.   When I climbed out that night and walked back my pack was gone.  Lost knife my dad had given me and some other replaceable items.    We were the only 2 on this property that day.   :bash:

Its a bummer. I was on a mountain bike and i swear i touched 50 mph heading out towards the main gate trying to catch someone. There was tons of motorcycle marks on my way out so someone on a dirt bike had found it and rode straight out. Also it is a non motor area..

What a (insert bad word here) slug.  First, you have people taking motorized bikes in there which obviously means they don't give a rats (bad word) about laws or rules.  It doesn't surprise me at all that one of those (bad word) heads would steal.   :bash: I feel your frustration brother... There is nothing worse than a thief or a liar.  Sorry this happened to you.  It's unfortunate but we are getting to the point where you have to hide and or lock everything even in the woods.

People driving into non motorized areas really piss me off.  A guy needs to carry a valve stem removal tool in his pack.  Nobody carries 4 spares.

There’s signs clearly posted on gates. Behind gates, and every 10 feet... non motorized is a difficult concept for these people man. Walking is too hard

I hate it too, but I believe people with a disability tag can drive in.  So you may have some bad karma heading your way if you start removing valve stems on every vehicle.
