The light on that Smallie is quite nice.  I can't wait till this floodwater in the Okanogan goes down so I can get the canoe out and float for Smallies.

Here's your Bobcat in snow pic. Excuse the poor quality.  It was from two years ago when all I had was a point and shoot camera.  Didn't know how to take a good pic then.  But at least I got one of him before he ran off.  Only seen three in my lifetime.  One back in Pennsylvania, this one out here, and one in Montana last December.

I don't know how to go about getting good photos of them.   I could try calling, but I realize I can't manipulate what direction the 'cat would approach from, and I'm afraid that whatever direction he would choose would have some grass and brush in the way.  Anyone have any ideas?  They're largely nocturnal, which also makes it quite a difficult prospect.  Yet some folks do manage to get great Bobcat pics.

Well, for what it's worth, here's the pic.  Now Let's see any member of the weasel family native to North America - a Weasel, a Badger, a Pine Marten, a Skunk, a Mink, an Otter, a Wolverine, or a Fisher.  Hope I'm not forgetting any.  Oh, yeah - a Black Footed Ferret.  No captivity shots.

Sorry can't help with the Grosbeak.  Gimme another year - should have one by then.

Here's the Buck makin' a rub.  Now let's see a live, non-captive gamebird in the snow . . . a chukar, pheasant, hun, turkey, quail, dove, or a grouse.

How about a rattlesnake in strike
You will never kill a big one if you spend all your time draging out little ones

Here's a banded goose from Tulelake (near Klamath Falls).    Now, how about a Sea Duck - either a Harlequin, Oldsquaw (now called Long Tailed Duck), Scoter, or an Eider.  Goldeneyes don't count!
