Idaho deer opener
« on: August 29, 2019, 03:11:17 PM »
I will be deep in the Idaho hills for the opener of rifle season. Who else is going and when are you going to be there?

I'll be hunting almost the whole season this year. Good crop of bucks running around.

I've got the first 5 days slotted for deer,  9 mid November for elk.  And then back again of I don't harvest a buck on the opening week

My son talked me into buying a tag so we'll be in the backcountry somewhere for the opener. Haven't been to Idaho since the 90's so this will be a great time for him and I to explore new territory.

I'll be there for a week or 10 days early. Then going back mid Nov and will stay through blackpowder season if I still have a tag.

Same plan here.

Have you been there before I scouted it twice this year.  Very steep country, nothing in Washington I've seen compares to it.

Yes this will be our 5th year hunting there. Very steep, make sure and bring your Wheaties. There's opportunity to be had there though, you'll enjoy your time there for sure.
