Deer Near Spokane
« on: September 02, 2019, 10:11:43 AM »
Hello everyone.  We just dropped our son off at Whitworth for his first year of college.  Along with the baseball and study prep, he did pack all of his stuff which made me happy!  He has a WA rifle tag and an Idaho tag.

This may be a long shot but him and a buddy are looking for a place they can go hunt on the weekends or after class. They will be doing some scouting and trying to figure it out but wanted to see if anyone had some land they may be able to access?  They would be willing to help out or work around the farm for access.  They are both responsible and considerate.  If you have something close to them please send me a message and I’ll pass on the info to them.

Thanks for your time and good luck this fall!

There is public land to the north and IEP to the south. All within striking distance without doing any door knocking or having contacts.  If they do that, good for them.   Probably about the third largest whitetail I have seen was within the city limits of North Spokane.

Go Pirates!

Have them buy an IEP permit.  From Mica Peak to Newport there is a number of DNR, NF, and IEP lands..  If they want to get after it they will have lots of opportunity to hunt within 1 hour of Whitworth.  I did it for 5 years.....
