2019 rifle. Had to drag him out of a steep ravine. I took off my pack and orange to do the dirty work. Don't yell at me lol.

Got my first blacktail buck last Saturday, I’m a mule deer hunter at heart but have Been half heartedly hunting these guys off and on since 2000 with no luck on these ghosts until now. Butchered him myself and am proud of this buck.

Well it was dark, wet and foggy in the timber and I was alone so no decent field photos of this guy but here he is. Only tag left in my pocket is for a long tale so on to that I suppose. Congrats to everyone else as well!
