Switched back to archery this year for elk and stuck one this weekend, called in to about 20yds. Things are still a little slow but picking up, next week should be hot

After seeing this bull, I’m dying to get out on Friday. Nice bull man!

Here's my Oregon elk this year.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Little bit of luck, I spotted him a couple weeks before the season started and decided that was going to be my bull. Came close the first two evenings, but couldn’t seal the deal due to the lead cow busting me. We tried calling him in, but it was a little early for that and he didn’t wanna come looking for a fight just yet. I ended up setting up a ladder stand next to their main trail they follow each evening on the way to feed and was able tag him.
