Great pictures.

Washington state opening day bucks.
Is that a bullet hole on his antler?

Yep!!  My buddy hit him on his first shot but took another shot as he trotted off and as was bounding away the deer dropped as he shot and he just about blew off his antler.  We are still giving him heck about it too!

I did that with a 3 pt Blacktail a few years back. Shot him right in the heart, and when he was making his short death run, I sent another round at him and blew a chunk out of his main beam!

Hiked up a ridge well before dawn Sunday and intercepted this stout whitetail crossing a patch of public land above some Okanogan ag fields.

After years of hunting muleys in the North Cascades highcountry and coastal blacktails in both WA and AK, it feels great to finally notch a tag on a flagtail. Now I need to plan an AZ coues hunt to round out my deer slam.

Dirt nap, grass nap, and rotting leaves for the Blackie.  Nice pics guys!  Good finishes to the season.

I just love seeing those BT shots.  Even a smallish buck like this guy seems glorious to me.  Gorgeous animals (in my biased mind).

Blue mountain backcountry.  This little guy was hard earned.  Put well over 30 miles down in 2.5 days of hunting.  Got him the third morning.  Caught his backbone right behind the shoulder with the first shot, finished in the neck
