Whether the deer gets shot at a year or at 4 years old, it's still dead. The same people who turn their nose at shooting a january pregnant cow won't bat an eye at shooting the same pregnant cow in Oct. Pointless human emotions that have no bearing in the natural world. Wounded animal sucks regardless of age. Because it's a yearling doesnt make it any worse than if it was a 6.5 year old buck.
Sometimes, we are our own worst enemy. I'm sure the hunter is sick about it. I wish I was as perfect as alot of people on here. Bad shots happen to the best of us.
I saw a guy shoot a fawn antelope in WY one year and he was plenty happy about it. That thing made the one in the pic look like a monster. He was carrying it back to the truck with one hand.
