Youth Sheep Hunt
«
on:
September 24, 2019, 03:27:27 PM »
It started of with the excitement of seeing selected on my sons youth sheep catogory. Then his excitement when I told him. Then followed by the explanation it’s a sheep tag but you can’t shoot the big ones. He gave me a strange look and said what do you mean can’t shoot the big ones. He soon realized its still a sheep tag and kind of a once in a lifetime kinda deal. Once I spread the news to a few people I get the text from a couple of hunting buddy’s (Cody and Jason). It consisted of when you plan on going we will be there. We are there for each other on any hunt we can. Friends like that is something I hope all hunters get to experience at some point. Thanks guys. Our trip was short and sweet. Saw sheep had a good time and good laughs. He was lucky enough to fill his tag on the first day of our hunt. He made a excellent shot at 325 yards. Also got to experience the horn plugging and measurement process. Which was a first for all of us.

Congrats again to your son! Definitely a proud moment as a father. It was great meeting you guys this past weekend. Pretty awesome that it all came together so quickly for him. Hopefully it will be Avery’s turn to make it happen this weekend!

Congratulations on an OIL for your son and a great long shot to take down that ram.

Fun hunt for sure Jack, glad I could tag along and try to help out. Never gets old experiencing good times in the outdoors. Those sheep sure sleep funny in that unit!
