That would be fun.  I like snow hunting the best.  Never targeted cougars, though.

It needs to show in my backyard so I can find the cat eating my chickens.

I missed my chance in the NE so I'm back on the wetside. No snow in my future.

Wonder how many guys are stranded on backroads that didn't pack a chainsaw?

Trees dropping like flies

Holy tree across the road, pack a saw, heavy snow morning lol.

Got back from elk hunting yesterday and once the trucks unloaded we’re going up to cut tracks. My dad had one at his place at 4:30 am so we’ll start there. Bear or cougar really.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

Amen

Literally hundreds of trees down on our path we took. Cut 20-30 and drove under/over countless. Deer, cow, and coyote tracks is all we found. Coyotes didn’t come in either but I also put on a orange vest because I was wearing a brown carhart soooo yeah.
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

I figured this might get ya excited.
The date is wrong on cam ,it was taken at the beginning of this month.About 5000 ft elevation.
I would head up there but gotta work on weekends and more people up there.Maybe mid week right after snow melts.

I have had a cougar on a couple of my cameras on my property  three out of the last five days. Two have been at dark and one was right about sunrise. I plan to head up there in the morning to try to cut tracks in the snow but if not I think I’m going to try to call it in. Any suggestions on what type of call I should use if anyone has been successful calling cougars in before. I have Called bears and coyotes in but never a cougar.
