Wyoming bound!
« on: September 25, 2019, 02:48:29 PM »
Heading to Wyoming this weekend for the opener with my two hunting partners.  We have three buck deer tags, two buck antelope tags, and one doe antelope tag to fill!  Should be a great week with the colder weather dropping in!!!  It will be hard to out do last year when we shot a couple of 170 inch mule deer bucks and two nice antelope bucks but we will give it our best!  I Will keep ya posted on how we do and I hope all the other guys on here heading to Wyoming will have a great hunt and a safe trip over!  Will be a busy year for me with Wyoming deer and antelope hunt, then the Washington deer hunt, Washington Elk hunt were I've drawn a Dayton big bull tag this year, and ending in November with a week in Montana deer hunting the rut.  Here are a few of last years Wyoming pics.

Good luck in Wyoming and Dayton.  Had an archery bull tag for Dayton in 2009.  Not quite like it used to be, but you can still find bulls.

Ya, I am worried about the Dayton elk hunt.  Biologist says that the numbers are down 50% from just 3 years ago.  I had the tag back in 2006 and got a nice bull.  Going to be a tough hunt!

Good luck to ya. Our group will be heading out Saturday morning as well. Seven in our group this year, with a couple coming in from Alaska.

It will be real hard to top last year.  I've been hunting there for about 5-6 years and we have done well every time we have went but we never shot the kind of bucks we did last year.  Usually 130-155 inch deer are to be had if you hunt hard but 165-170 inch deer like last year have not been the norm for us.  I hope it is as good as last year but I will be happy if we can find some good 150 plus or minus bucks.  First week of October is not optimal for mule deer buck hunting anywhere you go so we will see what we can turn up.  Ill let you all know what we find.  For all of you hitting the road to Wyoming, Good Luck!!! and be safe!!!
