seems you get a false sence of what cougars really can be when you look around at all the mounts of 100lb cats on store walls. then a picture like that comes along or you get up close and personal with one like i did a couple years ago. then you get a true understanding of how big these cats can get and it gives you an entirely new respect for them.

I've been fortunate to see quite a few in the wild, but only one huge tom - perceptions and recollections can change with time, but i remember thinking when I saw it that it looked like it would take some effort to force its head into a 5-gallon bucket! I'm sure it wasn't THAT big, but at the time it sure looked like it. As written above, pumpkinhead!
