Fog shot
« on: October 28, 2007, 01:43:23 AM »
I spotted this guy and another small 4 point and I was trying to get their pictures.  The fog was just too frickin thick.  I happened to glance to my right and her stood a 35 inch superbuck just barely visible in the fog.  A deer of multiple lifetimes.  He was intot he fog enough I couldn't get a focus on him.  I switched to manual and he disappeared.  I went after him and played tag with him inthe wet brush for quite some time, but never got a composed shot.   I came back and ran into a spike standing by my truck.  Apparantly there was a hot doe somewhere near.  This was last year.  This year I hope to get him on film.  I couldn't find his sheds, and I sure looked.  This is the medium 4.  A basket buck.

Where's the 35"er? I have a tag that would fit a 35"er real well. :chuckle:

Same place yesterday, same fog.  This time it was a 6x6 elk.  He was just enough in the fog or something that I could see large antler moving but no animal.  He about gave me a coronary as I figured big carl was there.  He finally cleared enough that I figured out it was a big elk, but never stopped to pose for a shot.  Maybe next time.

I compress them alot in order to get  them on here easier, so that they download faster.  It really smucked this one up.  I just came back and looked and its not nearly as clear as the original.

This was another one in the fog.  At least the bush was in focus.  :chuckle:

Cant really tell its out of focus....I think its a shooter! ;) Thats a cool pic. would have been a great pic if the little bugger was in focus. Thanks for one more thing to look forward too. Taking pictures of small bucks!

Just afer this pic a small buck came flying through right on her heals.  I can't remember if I have it on film or not.   No Rob, these are old pics, just sharing.  No snow yet, though I heard it was snowing where I am going elk hunting this week in MT.  Not sure if I am ready for that yet or not.
