Big Northern Whitetail Wall Pedestal (BlackRiver Tax.)
« on: October 02, 2019, 02:11:22 PM »
Had a late-comer (been in the customers freezer for a bit) this summer but got him on the form before the onslaught of hunting season..thought I'd post.
Client wanted a wall pedestal form with a 'hard back' turn. Finished him out with a naugahyde (leather) backing and a few wrinkles for some good character. Great buck, congrats and thank you to the owner for the work. Best of luck to everyone this year!!

Pretty crazy coincidence but I'm pretty sure I saw a pic of that mount. I was fortunate enough to harvest an elk yesterday. On the way home I had to stop for a quick break. A guy pulls up to look at my elk. We got to talking and I knew him about 35 years ago but hadn't seen him since. He pulls out his phone and shows me a picture of a buck he got in Alberta. Said you did the mount. I laughed and said Matts elk went up to your place Saturday for a head mount! As hes heading back to his rig he says. Well, probably see you in another 30 years or so! :chuckle:
