Too much snow?
« on: October 09, 2019, 09:45:18 PM »
How much is too much before the deer bail out? We hunt the higher elevations in the chiwawa/entiat/swakane, camp is at 5800'. Does anyone know what the snow totals are looking like up there? I'm hearing some spots close to 2' after yesterdays storm? Seems like it might be enough to have pushed the deer down closer to the snow line but I'm not sure .. hell I'm not even sure if it possible to get back up that high now.

I flew over the gpw tonight there is a lot of snow in that country especially towards the crest.  Further east it seemed to not be as bad.

You didn't say when you are going Tex.  But, I am heading up there this weekend, scouting the area for my late archery tag.  Could let you know.
