I run an option 4 from option archery. 3 fixed 20, 30, 40 and my slider. It’s been a great sight. You can flip it open if you want to run a single pin as well.

I like the idea of a slider but I can't imagine having the time very often to range and adjust and still get a shot
My personal approach to that is that if the animal is at a range I have to dial for but don't have the time to do it, then it's probably a shot I shouldn't be taking. With that setup I'd probably leave the floating a 60 and know the hold for 50. Only taking shots you have time to dial for beyond 65 yards isn't a terrible idea for most of us.

As a bowhunter for the last 35 years,I personally would never go back to multi pins and guessing distance.A good shot opportunity for me is at an animal that is standing still and hopefully unaware of my presence.Under these conditions, which is more often than not, there is plenty of time to range, adjust and put an arrow through the heart of my target.I have no interest in low probability shots or flinging arrows at 100 yrds at an animal.

Spot Hogg Hot Fast Eddie 2 pin.

Game changer for me.  For some reason, i can't keep track of my pins and distances and in a pinch, can't rely on picking the right one at the correct distance.

My arrows run around 290 fps.  I have it set to 26 yards and I'm basically within a few inches from 5 yards out to 32 yards.  And my bottom pin is at 40 yards and the top of my bubble and pin is 50 yards.

My hunting max is 40 yards, 50 yards if perfect conditions, where i can adjust my slider to 50 and the animal doesn't know I'm there and not much wind.

But i do like to shoot out farther.  I can group them within about 4 inches at 70, but that arrow is just in the air too long for me to feel comfortable shooting at an animal.

Now my problem is sliding it to 70 yards, not moving it back, then coming back and shooting at 30 to 40 and my garage had a few extra holes in it!

Ha. I saw a guy do that a few years back at a archery shop. Sent one right through the wall about 5 feet above the target.

I have two MBG Ascents. One is a three pin at 30-40-50 and the other is a four pin 30-40-50-60.

I use an Option 6 with their oval 8 pin housing. the fixed pins are the standard 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 and I usually leave the floating pin covering the 60 when I'm out hunting. It leaves me the 5 pins I'm use to looking at but I can still dial for the long stuff. With my setup it bottoms out at 110 yards and I'm not using a particularly fast bow. Being able to use it as a single pin is nice when I'm practicing out at the archery range.

I have this same set up on my new Mathews Vertix - awesome sight!
Also have the MBG ascent verdict on my Hoyt Carbon
Don’t think you could go wrong with either one -
