Yellow Perch?

I've heard of some yellow perch lakes here in western Washington, but I can't recall which lakes they were. Any help? You can PM if you want. It's been years since I've went after yellow perch, and I'd like to give it a shot this fall.

Lake Sammamish and lake Washington.
I don’t remember about Sammamish but in lake Washington you can use bait.
After you get a small perch, cut it up and use it’s fillet as bait. It’s how you get the big ones

I don't know about over that way but I caught 20+ perch on worm harnesses on monday, gonna go back this monday and drift a #8 hook and a piece of worm there

Lake Washington is loaded with them and they are schooled up like crazy right now. All you have to do is idle 20-35 ft and look for the blobs.

That's what I wanted to hear. How big do they get in this lake?

You can get them in the 10-12" size pretty regularly in Lk Wa and Sammamish but you need to be able to move. Sometimes the schools on your fish finder will all be a similar size class, just gotta keep looking until you find the schools of bigger fish. As mentioned they are schooled up heavy right now and will be through the fall. Drop shot tandem bait rigs and also small heavy jigging spoons tipped with bait are great too.

A bit North for you but Lake Stevens is loaded with them.  I use exactly the method Scheindogg mentioned.  There is a good number of 14+ inchers in that lake.

Ohop lake has some good size ones iv caught 14" there while crappie fishing

You can catch enough perch in lake Washington to live off of perch meat.

I have seen a tenancy that I get the bigger ones on fish imitators like spoons and spinners.

American Lake will be closer for you in Olympia and has plenty of perch.  As most have said, big ones if you find the right school, if not, keep moving, they are there.
