Bismuth in E-Burg
« on: October 08, 2019, 09:41:36 AM »
Does anyone know of a source in the Ellensburg/Cle Elum area that sells Bismuth shells in 2-3/4" in #6 and #4? I may run my inexperienced setter this weekend in the pheasant release area on the old Vantage Hwy and that is a non-tox area. I was planning on buying some shells from the Cabelas Marysville store but all they have is 3" #4's.

Thank you,
Cliff

3 Forks, ammo and reloading may be an option also. They are in Cle Elum.

Also, remember you can order ammo over the internet and have it shipped to your house...Just like a pair of shoes.

T-BONE, it's going to have to be that way because I can't find any locally, even at Cabelas (at least not in my shell length and desired shot size). I can order it through Cabelas, though. I haven't looked into it yet but I'm a little weary of stories Ive heard about additional fees tacked on for hazmat stuff, shipping charges, etc. I'm only ordering a few boxes......

Salish, I've ordered many boxes of shells in varying amounts from Cabela's, Mack's , Roger's Sporting Goods and others with no problems. In fact, if you have it shipped to the store at Cabela's or Sportsman's Warehouse; you get FREE shipping.

Hazmat fees only come into play, if you chose to mail order bulk powder or primers.

So I was wrong all along, thanks. I'll go ahead and see if Cabelas can ship to their Marysville store. I appreciate it.

Cabelas can take a while to ship to their store, make sure you leave plenty of time.

Thanks Stein & Buckeye. I'll check the shipping times and the BOSS copper plated bismuth shells. Appreciate the heads up.

If you shoot them regularly, there are tons of rebates available this time of year and places like Roger's will ship them to your door for free.

I second that Cabelas can take a while, I ordered 3 boxes of Bismith and it took almost 3 weeks.

Apparently Hevi is having some cold issues with their bismuth lineup.  Check out the thread on DHC

As an addendum I discovered that most, if not all of the Sportsmans Warehouse stores carry it. I'm good. Thanks for all the suggestions.
