Red dot and turkey chokes

Thinking of putting a red dot on my shotgun for turkey we will see. I have calls, decoys etc. picked up a new 20 gauge benelli nova about 5 months ago on sale. Going to pattern it soon. Eyes are starting to get harder to see. So I thought I may try a red dot. If any one has this gun and cares to chime in on what turkey choke and load worked best. I know it’s trial and error. Done a little turkey hunting yrs ago after the i got out of the service. I’m going to concentrate on turkey and some deer hunting next yr. no chapters for the Nwtf where I live.

I put a red dot on my turkey gun a few years ago. It hasn't helped or hurt my success, still get my Tom every year but I really like it. Just a cheap Burris

I used a red dot on my last turkey gun because the densest part of the pattern didn’t line up with the bead. I sighted the red dot to the densest part of the pattern & had good results with it

I switched. I really like my vortex crossfire. Perfectly covered my birds head at 51 yards. I shot fiber optics for years and I feel it is a step up. That being said some of the smaller versions like a RMR wouldn’t be a bad option either. I just got a good deal on the vortex.

I bumped up to a red dot this last season and my Dad and Brother ended up with the same one on their guns when we went out on our group hunt. I too hunted fiber optics for many years. I never had a problem killing birds with fiber, but I love my red dot. Took my last turkey when it was in a full run at about 40 yards and rolled it with the red dot.
