Blue mountains late fall hunt

New turkey hunter, planning on some spring hunts in 2020 but for now my hunting party has a late whitetail tag in the blues from The end of thanksgiving into December... I’m very familiar with the blues for deer and have seen a lot of birds in the units and surrounding area so I’m planning on trying for some birds..

Any pointers for this area?
