Didn’t fire a shot. Forgot to buy my Federal duck stamp. Just sipped coffee and watched the show. Lot of spoonies flying around. Got my duck stamp now. 😀
For future reference you can buy them online any time, carry the receipt and your stamp gets mailed to you.

Opening day, just to the east of you EWA guys, in North Idaho.  Two man limit of honkers and six ducks...mallards, a gadwall and a widgeon.

I shot this unique duck. I also saw wood ducks for the first time while hunting.

i would save that duck, i shot one in cheney like that once and took it to the biology department and had a bird taxidermist look at it and they we in agreement it was a leusistic drake. the odds of a drake being leusistic is very low i was told. then my freezer died and i lost the bird  :bash:

First hunt of the year, three man limit and the first bird to hit the ground was banded! Not a bad start to the season.

Had a draw at McNary last weekend. Despite zero wind, the cold temps worked in our favor and we had lots of shooting. My hunting partner was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer this summer so trips like this have taken on a new meaning.  Enjoyed every second!  Shot a mix of Mallards, Wigeon, Spoonies and Scaup.

Epic gunning! 5 guys, 71 total birds x 1pm. Nice change of pace for a slow moving season so far. Got a band to boot! Shoot straight and have fun all!

Birds are starting to get stale.  Hopefully this cold pushes in some new ones.
Cut em!

They aren't too far away, I spent the weekend in BC and there are plenty of birds staging.

Quick 3 man limit this morning
What kind of duck is on the bottom left side with the white neck? Is it leucystic?

Should be two limits of geese in the photo, we shot enough shells.

It's either that or a straight farm duck. It's hard to tell from the photo.

Bibbed mallard.  Essentially a farm or moorage duck as we call them.

Son & I have been getting a few snow and Canadian geese. Ducks have been hard to come by so far for us. Pretty fun to hunt with my boy.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!
