Cohoho, I don't get to vote but if I did, your eagle picture win hands down this month.  Perfect composition, exposure, and tack sharp.  Perfect use of the rule of thirds.  The photo has a cool mood to it with the muted white on the eagle.  It looks like it was shot perfect and not enhanced in photoshop.  Good job.  Lens used?

There are a few other decent pictures such as the quail and elk with good composition, subect matter, and exposure.  The first thing I look at with these photos is sharpness, then composition, exposure, then subject matter.  If sharpness is off, then I don't even go to the other variables.

CONGRATULATIONS to JDB for his winning entry of his son and his deer.  There were many excellent entries this month.  Some photos may have been more crisp, and some may have been of more interesting items, but none captured the hearts of the judges more than this young man and his moment captured on film.  Congrats to him and his deer, and to you JDB for winning the October's Photo of the month contest.

Thanks for all of your entries.  Please don't be discouraged if you didn't win. We have Novembers contest ahead of us.
