Not a problem Fin. We'll be back there next year. Pretty much an annual deal now.

Nice Buck!

OK, Really not trying to be a keyboard game warden...but I noticed your tag on the antlers...just fyi, but in Idaho it needs to be on the largest retained portion of the meat. Idaho Fish & Game Officers don't give much warning and love writing this particular citation to non-residents. (I do find it odd, as it it much easier to see you tagged the animal after the kill and much easier to get to than digging through a meat sack).

It actually says “or a portion of the edible meat if boned” doesn’t say anything about the largest portion. Same goes for evidence of sex.

Both Bullblaster and Grade are basically right, so lets just leave it at that please. It should be on the meat. I put the tag on the antlers while I'm processing the animal and then transfer it to the achilles on a hindquarter when I pack out. I forgot to this time. Once it was back in camp, the switch was made.

You probably already know but remember that the sex organs (twig or berries) need to be naturally attached to meat for transportation as this also gets overlooked in Idaho  :dunno: :dunno:

The more and more people are jealous and decide to *censored* on someone or in someone's thread for posting a buck makes me realize why more and more people don't share their success stories every year. Use the PM function folks!

All good guys! I didn't feel like anyone was jumping down my throat or preaching. Both BULLBLASTER and Grade were right, the tag needs to be on the meat. And yes, proof of sex needs to be attached, and was. Pretty much that way in every western state anymore. I just don't want this thread to turn into a pissing match between guys over details like that, so lets just leave it at that. Thanks for the congrats, I'm still enjoying looking at those horns in my garage. I may be tempted to throw a tape on them just to see. Haven't decided if I want to take that step though, always said I never would. But i'm curious...   :dunno:
