ISO a Retriever Trainer

Looking for a retriever trainer for a 6 month old lab. We are located in Western Washington but would consider other areas of the state. Just wondering who others have used and what their experience was like.

Look up Pat Murphy at NW Performance Dogs in Monroe. He has trained two of my labs for hunting. Pat gets great results and is an easy guy to talk to. On the East side look up Sean Issac at Tri Lab kennels.

After seeing what Conway Kennels is doing with a friend’s dog, I’do look hard at their operation.

Thank you. I’ll try those out. We’ve left a few messages with Conway Kennels the past couple of weeks but haven’t heard anything back. Wonder if they may be booked. Gives me a couple of places to start looking.

Another nudge for Conway Kennels. My pup Pepper has been there for a month now. I joined in on a training session Saturday. I'll be part of her training now until she's ready to come home in a few months. PM coming your way Skagit.

Doug Burnett @ Cook Canyon trained Maggie and I was very happy with the results.

Good to know. My neighbor has his lab there now for a breeding. Will have to ask about it.

Mckenna kennels is now taking gundog clients. Gundog trainer is experienced and does a nice job with youngsters. Good place for folks in south end

Wanted to give an update. We got ahold of Kane at Conway Kennels and he’s been working with our pup for 2 months now and she is doing awesome. Conway has been great and she now is ready to go for her first duck season. I highly recommend them and it’s been a pleasure working with them.
