Westside quality Buck Hunt
« on: November 03, 2019, 01:31:08 PM »
Who's out trying to fill their westside quality tags ? Curious what everyone is seeing ?

It's been pretty slow for November so far not to much for rut activity . So far I've seen 4 legal bucks but nothing bigger than a decent 3x . I've only seen one buck chasing a doe but unfortunately he wasnt worthy of hanging a quality tag on this early in the game

I haven’t seen a single deer in a day and a half in the green river watershed. Still early.

A really nice alpine BT was taken out of 418 yesterday. I don’t know if he was rutting or not.

I'm trying to help my wife with her 667 tag.

Been kinda mixed. Not seeing a ton of deer. Seems too warm too early
Got close to 1 buck yesterday she probably would have shot, but he wouldn't hold still. :chuckle: Only saw a spike today.

Rain would help. As dry as everything is it makes walking almost anywhere tough.

Look at miles 19 - 21 it might have changed over the years but that has always been a good area for deer.

Got a quality deer tag for the skokomish archery.
Saw nothing yesterday. 2 does today and 2 bucks. Got a shot at a 2x2 but missed it was at about 70yards and I shot right below it.
It’s odd to see nothing out hunting then come back to our cabin in mason and find 10 does chilling in our acreage with a 2x3 and a 2x2 right behind the does.

I’m hoping they hit full stupid....I mean rut. haha
I got one more hunt the wife says. Got to work all week so I’ll be out Saturday morning first thing roaming the skokomish. If anyone’s got any good spots to go let me know. Hoping to tag my first buck ever after hunting 7-8 years getting does

Things typically get really good and fired up around the 6th . That and the coming weather should make BBD action

Hopefully the successful hunter will post it up, I always appreciate a good 418 alpine buck.  Congrats to them.

70 yards is a bit further than I would prefer to shoot but if you practice to that distance its ones choice.
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
