I did hunt for that bull. I also have pics of him after the hunt, so...

@Shawn Ryan ..how far apart were the spots from one another? Roughly how much area was he covering?

3 camera spots: about 250 yards between 1st and 2nd spot (found the 2nd spot later and moved the camera) and then about 3/4 mile between the 2nd and 3rd spot. All distances measured in straight line on a map. Pretty sure he covers a larger area than what my cameras caught.

It's interesting that they didn't use that trail in the snow, or was the one with the bob cat just after the snow fell?

Snow fell in early December.  No elk, deer, or bears after the snow fell.  Just bobcats, coyotes, and squirrels.  Next bear was 4/10 and most of the snow had melted by then. Once the snow melted mid-April, the deer and bears came back. The elk didn't come back until 5/20.

I shoulda killed that 7x7! Got on him twice . Thought it was all over at 90 yards till wind switched.

That bull on opening day was miles away when I first spotted him. 2 days later he was in same canyon I was hunting. He was across the canyon and down from your cam
