Chiliwist Late Tag?
« on: November 08, 2019, 08:21:58 AM »
Friend took some pictures of a great buck in this unit.....unfortunately he has been shot through the lower jaw, and will probably die a slow death. As of yesterday, he was still chasing does around though, so this must be a recent event. If you hold that tag and would like more info, let me know.

Im not sure if im missing something but i noticed the other day that there was not any late rifle permits for the chilliwist unit at all for mule deer. Seemed odd to me. Maybe I have an older pamphlet pre corrections.

Well I guess some of the big migrators could use an area for sanctuary in that valley during the late seasons.

Chiliwist late rifle is not a tag I’d want. Most years you are lucky there is enough weather to get the deer outta Alta . Right now you can still hunt to timberline in Alta
