Lookin like rain for my Palouse tag for the weekend. Going to try and still hunt them through timber above a river bottom and below ag ground. Big low pressure system moving in on Tuesday for the last day of season that should be good if I need it!

I'll be hunting my gov tag starting the 20th.   Weather looks perfect for 4-5 days there.

In 127 big boys are still not interested much in does. Little ones the only ones chasing still. Should start changing this weekend . This guy is still just in to eat. 4.5yr old

He may peak my interest next year. He’s made nice gains since last year. Hope I have him on cam after dec 15th. Then I’ll buy multi season and hunt him.

Yeah, but I haven’t actually seen them yet this year.  I haven’t checked cams since Sept, though.

Saw a big buck running a doe yesterday.   He didn’t slow down for me.  I tried rattling twice, no action.   I only saw one other whitetail.   Density seems down, but I guess that’s the new norm.   I was more interested in Muleys so didn’t put much time into it.

Two medium bucks pushing does across  on my way to where I’m hunting this AM. Hopefully a good sign!

Falfa
I got a bale and some cob dropped this weekend. The cubes I dropped in Oct got hammered. Lots of smaller bucks, the activity in the first few days was the best. with does showing daily. I likely wont get back down there till after Thanksgiving. Will be returning with more cob and another bale then and will check the cams again to see if any shooters showed up.

Just got back from GMU 121 near the town of Hunters and saw very little movement. Lots of fresh scrapes in the area but no daylight buck activity and only a few paired up does running around in mid morning. If I had to guess, I'd say the recent mild weather has really put a hamper on activity. Opening day of archery should be great though.

I agree. Been hunting 124. little dinks chasing does but i couldnt drum up a shooter. Was a good season for me, got to hunt a fair amount and got to do the wall tent elk camp for 5 days in idaho. So although i didnt kill, had a great time. Late season rifle hunters could have used some colder weather and some snow would have helped. Had a grunting competition with a buck this morning. He won in the end cause i never seen him
