What’s everyone’s favorite hunting tripod?
« on: November 09, 2019, 06:27:35 PM »
I’m looking to buy a new tripod soon and was wondering what everyone’s go to is? Looking for something that’s not too heavy that I can throw on my pack when needed but still steady with my spotting scope/Binos. Thanks Jake

I have been running the outdoorsmans for a while now and am very happy with it, although my butt does still hurt a little bit from the price  :o

Promaster XC-M 525c for me and recommended.  I ran the Slik pro cf 634 and had a leg break on me.  Probably a one off as I've heard great things about them.  But they aren't rated for as much weight as the Promaster is and I can mount a rifle to it.  Slik, I'd stick to binos and spotters.

Went with Slik Mini-III.   $79 vs $500+ for Outdoorsman.  Its not as steady in wind as heavier units but I don't glass on a tripod that long in heavy wind.
