Some people suck!!!
Found this Saturday, Shot during modern i'd assume (bullet wound) and decomposed enough to match that time frame.
I don't get it, why shoot a 2x, realize you screwed up, then cut part of 1 antler off?

Could it have been dumped by a game warden?

That really sucks! Such a waste of good meat! People get so trigger happy over bucks and can't wait a second to count or verify 3 points, it makes no sense! But then just to leave a animal you shot and to do that just makes me sick.

What a waste. The antler thing, wondering if a warden might do that if it had already been reported.

never thought about that, but guessing not, the cut side was the down side, kind of stuck in the ground. Did not appear to have been moved by a large predator, only birds pecking.
My first thought was they were prolly gonna cut both off then got nervous and bailed.
