I saw something similar in my youth (mid 70's) where two very nice 3x3 black tails were pushing around in a gravel pit (it's a housing development now). While they were going at it a much bigger buck walked past them like they were furniture, sniffed the doe then turned around and just walked off. Why put up a fuss when she's not ready I guess.
Thanks for sharing you photos. Brought back some great memories.

I typically don’t announce where I am at, so yes.

Very special series of pictures! What a fight! Man, that broad side blow sure had to hurt something fierce! So glad I don't have to go through something like that when its mating season at my house!

Love the pictures and would have loved seeing that. I've seen a pretty good elk fight, but was from a distance through my spotting scope. But never have seen mule deer go at it like that.

Not gonna lie "bone", that is seriously probably the best sequence of Pic's I've ever seen on this site, as everyone has said, thanks for sharing, that is just some great brute force to look at, seeing it live must have been a hoot. Thanks again.

Absolutely amazing! That had to be something to see and hear live, thanks so much for doing what you do and for being willing to share it with us
Your photos make this forum worth returning to again and again!
Oh, and I enjoyed the play-by-play narration too
