Hunters of the late season hunt

One more day for my buddy and I as we could hunt the weekends this year. Anyone here have luck? Thinking of hitting up capital forest in am but wanted know if it was worth the drive.

Bucks are out cruising around now I got a nice two point today and saw another one after that

Saw 6 bucks friday killed a three point. Head east on 2 or hwy 20 get behind a locked gate go in at least a mile find a cut and look to edges not just the edges of the cut but any ravine or ridge  or bluff that is adjacent to the cut. Be there early and dont leave til it's dark. Saw all 6 bucks between 10 and noon.

Sounds like you were in 448, no wonder the hunting was so good

I was actually in between 2 and 20 there is some  public land in 407 that is huntable and holds deer.

So back to the original question.  I love the lay of the land in Capitol Forest.  Many just drive cut to cut and glass.  I think if you get up high and get out in the woods above or along the sides of a cut, you might be in 'em.  Steep out there.
